10 YEARS 153,000 + LIVES CHANGED

Thanks to donors and event guests like you, over 153,000 people in Tanzania now have daily access to safe water from wells developed by our teams of specially trained locals. 100% of your donation secures safe water and provides hygiene and sanitation education support. Because of you, more than 153,000 lives have been changed.

Because of you, our mission IS possible

HISTORY OF MIP

In January 2010, 24 volunteers embarked on a two week medical mission trip to Tanzania, a coastal East African country home to Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and Lake Victoria. We traveled to several villages setting up mobile clinics and treating over 850 patients.

Mission IsPossible is an Outreach Ministry of St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church in Irvine, California. We co-fundraise with Mission Tanzania an Outreach Ministry of St. Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church. We’re currently focused on educating, training and hiring local Tanzanians to drill, maintain and repair wells, teach sanitation and hygiene and support our partner clinic. We employ two crews of six local experts who operate two rigs concurrently – one drilling rig and one pump installation and repair rig. Our teams of skilled local professionals work year-round throughout northwest Tanzania.

Because we own our drilling equipment and vehicles, we can keep our costs low while we drill continuously. We install high-quality American-made electric pumps and highest quality foreign hand pumps. We’re committed to sourcing the best supplies from vendors we know and trust.

100% of our US-based operations and fundraising efforts are designed, organized and maintained by volunteers*. We send a small delegation of self-funded volunteers to visit our in-country field operation teams three times a year to replenish supplies, check in on active projects and make friends. Our WaSH manager travels once a year to teach new communities that receive a well and check in on communities that have previously received sanitation and hygiene training. We also send a small delegation of self-funded American volunteers every year to visit our in-country field operations team and to tour villages where wells have been developed.

HOW TO HELP

We believe in our projects and in our people; we love our work. We’ve donated our time, talents and treasure to the people of Tanzania since our first trip in 2010. We encourage you to do the same – either with a tax-deductible donation or with your time and talent.

WRITE GRANTS + RAISE FUNDS

We’re looking for grant writers and people who want to help us raise funds. If you’d like to help write grants or raise funds, please contact us!

DONATE + ATTEND

Be a part of this. Whether you make an in-kind donation, sponsor our event or buy a ticket, 100% of your tax-deductible donation directly benefits these communities. Your gift isn’t just a one-time gift. All our projects either give people a start in life or give them much needed help they can’t get anywhere else.

With your help, our mission is possible.

GIVE THE GIFT OF SAFE WATER

*Thanks to the generosity of our Angel Donors, our US-based project manager’s salary is funded in full.
